Kindergarten Registration

The Eureka Union School District will have Kindergarten Registration Packets available beginning February 16th.  Completed packets can be picked-up and returned to your local school at any time during regular business hours.

We are excited to have you join our district!  Here are some things you can look forward to:

Longer School Day.   Our Kindergarten students attend from 8:00am - 1:15pm daily.  This longer school day allows for more academic time and social development.

Small Class Sizes.   In the Eureka Union School District we are committed to keeping all of our class sizes small.

Academic Success.   The Eureka Union School District has the highest district API (Academic Performance Index) test score in Placer County.  We are proud to provide your child with an academic setting that is both nurturing and challenging.

Easy Registration and Welcome!   Our slimmed down registration process now provides even more resources for parents; Kindergarten Readiness Workshops, School Tours, and new parent Orientations will help make a smooth transition into school.  Welcome!

Greenhills Reads
Our entire school is reading "The Boxcar Children"SchoolCenter Pictureby Gertrude Warner.  This is the first book in a series of timeless stories about a family of children and their struggles and adventures.  We are hoping that this book will introduce the much loved series of "Boxcar Children" books for developing readers.
We have Family Literacy night on February 4th. Parents and children will play games designed to support reading skills.  This family event will help students become better readers while providing parents with ideas, samples, and take-home activities to help their child.
Please click the attachments below for audio versions of this week's chapters.

Please take a minute to read a very important letter from Superintendent Dr. Tim McCarty.  Thank you
